Campus Stores Renovation

The Office of Facilities is launching an exciting renovation project for the Takoma Park and Germantown campus bookstores. The goal is to transform these spaces into vibrant hubs for both social interaction and academic engagement within the MC community.
The project includes the renovation of approximately 3,800 square feet of the Campus Store located on the second floor of the Charlene R. Nunley Student Services Center at the Takoma Park Campus, and approximately 1,500 square feet of the Campus Store located in the Humanities and Social Sciences Building at the Germantown Campus.
The renovated bookstore will include space for the distribution hub to allow students to pick up course materials and other supplies.
Ziger|Snead Architects is leading the design process for this project.
Previous Community Engagement Events
A series of engagement events were held in November 2025 to provide students, staff, and faculty with an opportunity to connect with the Design Team, learn more about the project, and share their feedback. This collaborative process is a key component to ensure the project is successful, well-received, and beneficial to both the College community and the broader public.
