Nail Technician

The Nail Technician Program provides instruction in preparation for licensure from the Maryland Board of Cosmetologists. Our 250-hour program provides you the needed theory and practical coursework in a three course series.
Upon completion of the entire series of courses, participants would fulfill the 250 hours of training required by the state and would receive a college sealed Eligibility/Examination Registration Form as required by the Maryland Board of Cosmetologists and their exam provider, PSI Services. Student exam fees are not included as a part of cost of the courses in this series.
The Maryland Board of Cosmetologists and their exam partner, PSI Services, have released a new Candidate Bulletin for all cosmetology license areas. This update is live as of 10/1/2024. For more information and direct access to the updated candidate bulletin, please visit PSI Test Takers - Maryland Nail Techniciannew window.
Registration for the new cohort of the Nail Technician Program begins April 7, 2025. Course details and schedule are available below. Interested students must begin their program with Nail Technician I and cannot start with Nail Technician II.
Space will be available on a first come, first serve basis until Nail Technician I reaches maximum capacity.
Attendance Policy
Students must sit for all hours of the program for completion. Registered students should refer to the syllabus sent a week prior to class about the number of hours allowed to be made up for a given class. Students that need to make-up missing hours will need to return during a future semester to complete the hours missed or complete a program/event at the discretion of the program office. Students that miss more than the number of hours listed in the syllabus, without excused absences, under the program policy, will not be eligible for returning to make up course hours, and would not be allowed to move on to the next course in the sequence.
